Alrighty, let's spice up this story! Picture this: John Blandy, a real trailblazer, rocks up in Madeira in 1807. Fast forward to 1811, he's like, "Hey, let's get this wine party started!" So, he sets up shop as a wine dealer and snags a sweet spot in Funchal for what's now the Old Blandy Wine Lodges. It's been a match made in Madeira heaven ever since!
The Madeira Wine Company contains of two parts. At the main entrance, you can buy all different kinds of Madeira Wines from Blandys. In the back is the museum and the actual production.
